Sorry to keep asking questions about injectors, but would like to make informed decision about injector purchase.I can get Accel 24#'s from either

they are not any good, thanks for your help
Re: Anyone used 24# Accel injectors? Help Please (Nathan Plemons)
I have put 7K miles on mine without any problem. I also have a spare set of 8 with 100 miles on them due to a misdiagnosed problem. I am using mine with a AFPR.
Re: Anyone used 24# Accel injectors? Help Please (doc's toy)
If you do a search you'll find that Ford SVO injectors are very common. A lot of people like to use them because they are rated at a lower pressure than GM injectors. Therefore when you put GM pressure on them they act like a larger injector, a 24 really flows more like a 25 or 26.
That being said I've got a set of used SVO 24's for sale. $150 and I'll pay shipping. They normally sell for about $220. They've got 10-15k miles on them so I won't claim they are new by any means but they are still in perfect working order. I just dyno'd 379 rwhp with them so something is working right.
Re: Anyone used 24# Accel injectors? Help Please (doc's toy)
I would use the FMS 24 pound injectors sold by Summit. I had the 30 pounders and now the 24 pounders and they work great. Never a problem with any of them.
Re: Anyone used 24# Accel injectors? Help Please (doc's toy)
I had a miss and I thought it was bad injectors so I bought the Accels and a AFPR. After installation things seemed ok for about a day then problem resurfaced. I thought the problem was bad injectors again. I ordered a 2nd set of injectors with the intention of returning the 1st ones. After 2nd installation I had same problem. My problem turned out being a short in the wiring inside the car underneath my dash.
Re: Anyone used 24# Accel injectors? Help Please (Nathan Plemons)
Nathan Plemons,so did you go to a larger injector? Are you still using Gm computer system?I see your in Bowling Green, if I'm interested how do I con-
tact you?

Oh you can contact me in any way you wish. You can always contact me here, or via IM like you did. You can also get me via e-mail, you can choose whichever address you like
You can also use the old fashioned telephone but the odds of me answering it are slim to none. 270-796-5015
If you're going to be in Bowling Green sometime soon you can see me at H.H. Gregg on most days.
I've actually still got those injectors in my car right now but I can pull them out at any time. My data logging shows that the duty cycle of these injectors is very high. Essentially I believe I need a larger injector and I got a set of 42's from a forum member. The 42's may be too high but the car will run with them. I they are too big I can always get some smaller ones. 30's would probably really be optimal for what I've got.
Re: Anyone used 24# Accel injectors? Help Please (doc's toy)
Never got around to purchasing Accel injectors, it was explained to me that the accel inj was like a "cow pissing on a rock", not exactly the type of fuel you want flowing into your cylinders. I have heard that they will work well, but only under high pressure, only way to get a nice mist of fuel out of them. I replaced mine with Bosch injectors from TPIS, bit pricey but I didn't have to modify anything to get them in. Same size as the stock ones. Good Luck!
Re: Anyone used 24# Accel injectors? Help Please (ONEBAD89)
I've got a set of Accell injectors- they are Bosch pintle type and have a great pattern compared to the SVO's that are in my Fiero. What is the leaking problem with the Accells?
Re: Anyone used 24# Accel injectors? Help Please (doc's toy)
Would that be summit part# FMS-M9593A302 ? Since these are measured at
lower pressure then will I need to turn my fuel pressure down?
No you won't need to turn your pressure down. The difference will be small enough that your computer can compensate by trimming down the pulse width a little bit. They'll just have more flow capacity at WOT because for any given pulse width they are going to flow more than they would at rated pressure.

Re: Anyone used 24# Accel injectors? Help Please (gpagaduan)
I'm using Accel 24lb injectors.
I had problems with them "leaking" when I first installed them.
Turned out that the o-rings Accel use SUCK.
I lubed the o-rings with a little oil before installing them but they still tore.
I had leaks on the fuel-rail side and the intake side.
Fuel was puddling on my intake.
I pulled the 24s back out and put on the GM o-rings from my old injectors on them.
I haven't had a problem since - they don't leak and they hold FP well.
