power door locks
I have a 95 C4 it sounds like the doors want to lock when I shut the drivers door after i get inside but they dont . Question is are they supposed to lock when I get in or reach a certin speed. Please help.

How long does it take before you hear the noise?
Are you sure it's not the ABS doing it's self test? This happens at 3MPH and it's right behind the drivers seat.

If you get in the car, put the key in the ignition but don't start the car yet, and shut the door, the system will try to unlock the doors. If they're already unlocked, great. That's normal - it's part of the GM setup that tries to make sure you never lock your keys in the car. Then you can lock them with the door switch.
Upshot is - the doors won't stay locked on a shut-off car with a key in the ignition. The keyfob goes inactive after 15 minutes of motionlessness. If you lock your keys in the car, you can get it to unlock itself by shaking the car enough to reactivate the keyfob.
