Some of the bulbs are out. Are the 4 big ones size 891 halogen? Can they be replaced from the front? Do those metal covers come off to reveal access, or just take it apart and go in from the rear?
The top two are not coming on.
Also, the 3 size 74's for the center panel are not coming on. I relaced the bulbs, but still no light. Is there anything that is "normally" the problem? Any ideas?
I wasn't able to replace mine from the front though I did try. The back of the bulbs were very brittle and wouldn't have lasted much longer even if I was able to just replace the bulb in the housing. I dropped the steering column a bit to get the dash out. The hardest part was disconnecting the cable to the main panel. ~Juliet
Get some long-nosed-pliers and wrap some electrical tape around the plier tongs to maneuver these bulbs in or out of the cluster....CAREFULL not to handle them with your fingers....the oils in your skin will shorten the bulb life.
ALSO, verify the correct bulb number to be used (there are two kinds of bulb that will fit; one being the wrong one of course; it burns much brighter and WILL kill the dash cluster). I forget the proper bulb part number. Check your owner's manual.... :hurray:
