1989 NORMAL OIL TEMP??
After warmed up my oil temperature seems to vary from around 180 to 235 degrees in outside temperatures from 55-75 degrees. What is "normal" for street driving - some highway/local but not stop/go traffic. The car is automatic and stock exept for the exhaust and ignition and doesn't have any extra fan or other cooling devices. Stock chip too. What temps are you running in similar engine/conditions?

your temps sound normal, mine were that way before the fan reprogram and new stat
Ideally the oil temp will be 10-20F above water temp
