I am going to get a pair of slicks. Going to get ET Drags but debating between 26x8.5x15 or 26x10x15.
These are going on my 88 L98 Camaro that so far has run 13.70's @ 102 mph. Haven't been able to come out of the hole very hard though even on the Nitto's. I want to use the slicks just for the track only.
If you're still running the stock 10 bolt rear and you really have enough power to need slicks, I wouldn't put slicks on the car. You'll snap that rear end like a twig. Seen too many 10 bolts come apart on F-bodies
I thought the 10 bolt was the stronger of the two. I could be wrong.
No, apparently his car is either an IROC or has an IROC rear end, and the BW 9 bolt, aka the Australian 9 Bolt, is a much stronger diff than the GM 10 bolt. The 3rd/4th gen F-body 10 bolt only has a 7.5" ring gear...the same size as the 4 cylinder Fox body Mustangs.
The best I can get is a 2.0x. That is easying into the gas. I want to be able to come off the line hard. I think with good traction I should be able to to get a least a 1.90.
