Hey guys, looks like I have a toasted TPS, went and checked everything that it says to check in the shop manual. How much is one of these going to run me? Better yet, is there something that commonly goes wrong in them that I can check myself and repair if need be?
Re: 1985 Throttle Position Sensor replacement. (DF)
I don't think theres anything you can do once it goes bad.
Off the top of my head, I think they go for around $50 US. If you don't want to get one from the local parts guys, head over to the website i've posted and you should be able to get a decent price. http://www.superchevyperformance.com...ultimatebb.cgi
I think they're like $20 at autozone. You'll need either a scanner, a multimeter and some needles, or a test harness and multimeter to set the new one properly. :)
