Default Couple turbo questions...

In order to twin-turbo an LT1 what all exactly has to be done besides fabbing the exhaust and intake or whatever... different cam/pistons? stuff like that, anyone with insight please share... what will make the car run just as good as it did with the added power while simultaneously preventing anything from blowing up...

Also, are there ANY shops at all in Texas that have been known to twin-turbo any lt1 vettes? still just ricers runnin around at shops?

Holy broad question batman...

Check out LT1tech.com and do a search.

To turbo an LT1 vette, a set of forged low compression pistons is a good idea. As is a a forged crank and rods. Upgraded fuel system, intercooler, and finding a way to fit all that under the hood. Quite the undertaking.

Norwood Ferrari service in Dallas I believe has done a couple of turbo conversions and Corky Bell in San Antonio I believe also. If you need numbers I can probably find them. Those guys are genius' when it comes to that stuff.
