If you get a little head porting and the LT4 hotcam kit, youll be faster than an LT4.

Make sure you know the LT4 hotcam kit, does not give you the LT4 camshaft.
The camshaft that is in that kit (the one from GM performance parts) is more radical (but still very driveable, even w/o chip changes on a 6spd, although a programming change will make it almost transparent) than the cam that comes on an LT4 engine.
Also, the LT4 hot cam kit seems to work better on 6 speed cars. Correct me if Im wrong but I believe automatics run the ZZ4 cam (one step less radical than the hotcam).
