Rear brake upgrade
Since my engine project is comming to a close, and I will no longer need a parking brake I started work on the calipers, these are pics of a rear 4 piston Brembo brake upgrade.
This will disable the parking brake, and my main concern was doing this to have a matching caliper for the fronts, but as well as additional braking. The rear brakes are pitifully small.
These are a Brembo (porsche) Caliper. 4 Piston, pistons are a 44mm and a 38mm piston. Rotor size is a 13" just .5 " smaller than my fronts. Pics will follow after I get the calipers powdercoated, and get the hubs for the rotors coated as well
Here is a pic of the bracket used to mount the caliper
Jeff,
Those Brembo Calipers look great. As you have said.....the stock rear calipers on the C4 are pitiful. This upgrade is great for those who don't need a parking brake, or those who don't have to pass a state safety inspection.

Calipers look great. I once saw I guy put the big red Porsche brembos and rotors, 14" in front and 13" in rear. To retain e brake he custom made bracket for factory rear caliper to be used. It had no hydraulics just used e brake cable. Looked wild having two calipers on rear even though that caliper looked REAL small next to that big red Brembo.
