help me find this noise???
I keep hearing this noise that sounds similiar to a mud tire. The faster I go the faster and louder it gets. It sounds like it is close to the driver side rear wheel. I have replaced both halfshafts, all 4 halfshaft u-joints, both back tires, tried a friends wheels, and replaced the rear driver side wheel bearing. What else could it be.

What kind of tires? My Michelin Pilots are pretty noisy at Highway speeds, very similar to a mud tire, but not as deep or loud.

Check suspension components and TSB's for your year - you can get titles for free at http://www.alldata.com - I know GM had a problem with this on midsize front drivers which led to a redesign of the rear strut assemblies. I'd pull the left rear shock and examine bushings, chassis mounts, rear stablizer, carrier bushings and anything else that can generate a rhythmic pulsation once it starts moving around. Also check exhaust system mounts, particulary left side muffler.
