Default Can i remove the cold start valve?

What would happen if i removed the cold start valve? Will the engine still start without it?

The new lower intake I put on when I installed my ZZ4 crate motor did not have provisions for the cold start injector. I had to block off the fuel port for the cold start valve, and everything is fine. The car starts just fine. The only problem I can see for you is that it will probably be a little harder to start when it see's winter temperatures. You can take care of that by changing the cranking pulse width, this effectively acts like the cold start valve.

It is only a summer car anyway. Thanks for the info.

The CSV is only utilized when your coolant temperature is below 100* (F). I had to remove mine when I installed my superram intake manifold. The car took a couple extra seconds to start in the winter, but that was fine with me. You could increase the crank pulse width vs. coolant temp table values in the EPROM if you wanted to make up for the lack of a CSV.

Sure you can just put blockoff plates on if you don't need them to pass emissions. ;) I have my EGR valve installed mearly for looks, but the pipe to the headers isn't installed and none of it is plugged in. I've got a blockoff on the intake manifold where the pipe would feed the system.

You'll need to turn off the EGR Code 43 (I think thats the #) in your computer otherwise your SES light will come on all the time.
