Cruise Control Not Working....

Cruise Control Not Working....
Any suggestions?? When I flip the switch to on, and hit SET, nothing happens. Is there supposed to be a little light anywhere on the dash that shows you when the cruise is on? There's nothing... So, what could the problem(s) be?????

There's no light on my dash to tell me when 'cruise' is on.
Mine quit working the first day I bought the car (53K miles) and it was a spring clip that came off the linkage right at the vacuum unit. Simple fix once I found it.
Other things that will make it quit working are vacuum leaks, you'll have to check for bad vacuum hoses, etc. There's also a fuse for CC I think.

I lost my CC when the three way valve under the passenger side valve cover cracked. Made of plastic and I guess the heat got to it. It also caused me to lose control of vent selection on my automatic climate control.

check the vacume lines on the engine first.
and the switch on your brake petal that releases when you hit the brakes, those are the more likely problem spots
