I start to hear some clicking sound when the wheels turn to the right slowly. It is not a metalic sound I don't hear it when the wheel is straight. Is it my front (left?) wheel bearing is on it way out?
How hard is it to change out the wheels bearing? Front wheels and rear wheels. What tools do I need forthis job. Most of my tools still in Pennsylvania. It won't be here for a few months (haven't sold the house yet).
Where can I buy good bearing or should I buy it from Jeff Kopp/Chris May.
Buy a bearing from whomever in your area has the best prices, Pep Boys is probably the cheapest but i didnt use theirs. (I never trust Pep Boys parts).
Expect anyone elses to be expensive as hell though, its a one piece sealed unit hub/bearing.
I just did the rear ones on my 86 Vette. I already had teh axles out to replace the U joints, so it made the job easier...the bolts come out from inside the hub, behind the backing plate, which is kind of a pain. You'll need a #50 torx bit to get the bolts out.
I bought the hubs from Autozone for $139 each (sealed units that are not serviceable). They are TIMKIN, so I thought they should be pretty good. We'll see. Good luck.
Does it sound like my bearing is on the way out?
How much time can I wait?
Do I need to do this soon?
Can't work on the car with 105 degree weather:rolleyes:. I have to get use to this kind of temperature first  and it is getting hotter every day :U . I will have to install a swamp cooler in the garage once I buy the house here in order to work on the car  . I guess it sure beat the cold winter back in Philadelphia where I can't even change the oil :D .
