Default X bracing on convertible

Have a 1987 convertible ,Car is so low it catches on everything,am I looking for trouble if I run whithout it? Thanks in advance. :D

You would probably only see minor differences in normal driving, but start driving it with some spirit and expect to feel the car flex. It will probably exhibit more squeeks and rattles than normal without it as well unless you are running a hard top ;).

I would not run without it. :nonod: It's there for a reason. I took mine off this past Jan. in order to install the new exhaust system; once off the car, I cleaned it up with a wire wheel and repainted it....the thought never crossed my mind to not reinstall it.

Could your front and rear springs be the problem?

Do NOT remove. My 90 vert is lowered, etc. Look at the mall. People are ADDing these to their coupes. This was a racing secret that us verts kept for a long time. Lingenfelter's Le Mans Car was a vert chassis with coupe body.

Thanks for the info Gentlemen. Mine is shimed down 1 inch in front to fit under the headers that maybe the reason it is getting banged up. I will leave it on and be extra careful. Thanks again. :D
