UHOH... Code 36 - MAF Burnoff Module on an '85 vette..
I might have an issue..
<NOTE> I don't notice any issues wiht the car. No rought running, no stalling, nothing bad really.
I hooked up my Actron Scantool to my '85 vette to show how to use it to a friend who's borrowing it, and I noticed it said it had an error code. I read it, and it said CODE 36- Mass air Flow Relay problem..
I am not getting a check engine light though and don't seem to have any issues with the car. I will clear the ecm memory now and check for codes again, but I thought when there is a problem with the MAF or burnoff module/relay you get a Check engine light and or problems with idle and stalling?
And yes my Check engine light is working normally..

That's what I'm thinking... On mine it is an expensive issue to change the burn-off module as it is an '85 only setup. It doesn't use 2 seperate relays as the '165 ecm. I would have to switch to a newer ECM if that were the case. I don't have a spare '85 module on hand ..
