I never physically measured, but I can make the first turnoff at Raceway Park, not an easy feat at 108-110 mph!
Most cars need to go to the second turnoff at the very least. I usually use the 2nd or 3rd to save the brakes, but as part of a test I was conducting, I tried the first turnoff and no problems.
Reading a Motor trend mag here from 90. Should be similar results for a 87. 3300lb 6sd coupe with 13" brakes 30-0 28ft, 60-0 112ft, 3284lb auto coupe with 12" brakes 30-0 29ft, 60-0 109ft. zr1 for that year did it 27ft and 109 ft weighing 3481.

Wow: The ZR1 only took 4 ft longer than the shortest I've seen for a Z06. The weight alone would account for that difference. Maybe the C5 brake set-up isn't that much better than a J55 after all.

Sure, the J55 C4's stop great the FIRST time. I'd like to see the numbers on successive attempts after the dreaded C4 brake fade comes into play.
I'm thinking of retro fitting the 12" setup to the front of my IROC-Z. The 10.5" 1 piston items are, in a word, crap. There is also a lot of fade with them.
I'm thinking that the 12" C4 setup would be a good upgrade that will still allow me to keep the stock 16" wheels. The C5 setup seems to just hit the caliper, and I don't want to spend all that money and have them not fitting or have to grind down the caliper.
