Any codes when the electronic a/c goes (intermittent) bad.
My electronic a/c heat is going dead on me every so often. The dealer said bring it in when it's dead. Right. Are there any codes that get set with this problem that I can educate the dealer on or do I just keep waiting til it dies for good?

Yes you can pull codes right off the unit itself. The link provided is a good reference.

Just because you don't see the blinking light doesn't mean there isn't an error. The light may very well blink and you miss it. Moreover error codes are not stored in the unit, you have to catch them when they occur.
So drive down the road with someone looking at the head unit. When it begins to blink, push both the upa nd down fan speed buttons for 5 seconds or until you see 00, then the auto button. Here is where you can read the codes that are occuring at that time.
More information: There are numerous codes which can be extracted from the C68 head unit that are not in the GM service manual or, Helms, Haynes or any other manual that I have run across.
Do the check and post the results.
