My target is a 396 cid/396 rwhp engine.. knwoing the stock throttle body will be limiting what size should I go to? 52mm or 58mm? I was thinking of the 52mm so no intake clearing is required.
Also, I am planning on using the stock exhaust manifolds with a custom bent 2.75" dual exhaust to DynoMax Super turbo mufflers (with a crossover and no cats) any thoughts?

I dont know what size would be best for the throttle body..... But one thing m pretty sure.....
Your not going to be able to get 450hp out of those tiny little restrictive manifolds..... Your going to need Longtubes.....

gotcha.. so i could probably keep the 52mm/long tubes for a future modification..

I have run both on my motor. Never checked just what the TB changes gave me, but it should be within 5-8 horsepower of one another.
I made 392 rwhp on my 396 with a 52mm TB and shorty headers (no cats) to full 3" dual exhaust and the CC305 cam.
