Default Will replacing MC trigger system light?

I replaced a leaking Master Cylinder on my '87 last Friday. The install was straight forward (bench bled MC, installed, bled all four corners). I did not drive the car until this afternoon. My system engine light came on. I drove the car anyway for about 8 miles. Shut it off and went into a store. Came back out and started her up and the SES light was gone :smash: I thought a read an article about pulling the computer before replacing the MC then afterwards re-installing the computer. Any thoughts? By the way, the breaks seem fine.

Thanks,

Bob

Sounds normal to me. Whenever I fool with the brakes I get a SES light until I do 1 restart. Then it goes away. I always forget to pull codes to see what it was complaining about.

The code(s) is/are still stored, in case you are interested in why the "svc eng" light appeared.
