small-block 454
This is probably not news to many of you, but the second generation Motown blocks can be bored to 4.25". Combine that with a 4" bore and you've got a small-block 454 which has the same bore and stroke as the factory big-block 454, just with 6" rods instead of 6.135" rods. That's pretty cool. Hmmmmm :smash:

it is too new to tell, but the short block 427 went for around 4500.00

Just read this in Hot Rod. Pretty cool - but I wonder how many they will sell. Any (make that "some")engine builder can build more power for less with a GM block and a 406.
