Track question about Wheel hop
I'm thinking of taking my Car to the track in the next few weeks just to see how it would run out. I figured I would like to do it once anyway just to see what she will do. I've got a few question that you guys might beable to help me out on
1. What times should I shoot for or what is considered a good time for a LT-1 AUTO in the 1/4 mile?
2. Does the C4 have much problem at the track with wheel hop on launch?

LT1 Auto, assuming stock, ours runs 14.0 @ 102 on an average day. Anywhere between 13.6 and 14.4 are about right depending on track and elevation.
The C4 does not have a problem with wheel hop like the C5's do. I have never experienced any sort of wheel hop in any of my C4's.

i had some hop while spinning in the wet, and sometimes when auto-xing (in the dry) too. it's almost all gone after doing urethane bushings in all the rear arms. the shocks were definitely good.
it still just starts to hop when things get really wild. but, oddly, never off the line or launching. it's always some weird combination of cornering and powering out of turns that does it.
well, i half take that back. i couldn't really tell you if it hops on launch, since it hooks so hard that it will slip the clutch before it spins the tires.
