msd digital 6
my freind and i both hooked up the msd digital 6 we have a pair of 91 vettes my freinds car stalled and when he restarted it sparks shot out the side of the box now it's cooked we both bought the gm wire harness it's a no brainer to wire then i noticed on my car when i came to a stop the idle droped down and it wanted to stall both msd boxs worked for about 2days what's also strange my freind also lost his climate control for his heat & a/c and he had a hand held computer pluged in to the main computer and the hand held don't work i disconnected my msd before it blows does anyone have any ideas

I had an MSD digital 6 crap out on me recently (read my archived thread). The car made it a block, stalled and wouldnt restart. Starter fluid had no effect. Since I didnt know the MSD was the problem, I had it towed back to my house. I bypassed it and everything worked fine.
Summit exchanged it and got me a new one right away. No problem with the new unit

hi, thanks for the feedback when i called the vette doctors they told me everytime they used the msd box on the L-98 and the LT-1 motor they never worked they had to take them out of the cars to some it up he told me he never had any luck installing them how long did you have the msd box in your car you did say summit gave you a new one? thanks

Mines wired in using the MSD adapter harness. I'm also using the timing retard feature when the N2O system fires. I've had zero problems with it but using the MSD adapter it can be easily bypassed if needed.
