Is this a VSS Problem? [Question Inside]
As part of my mega project from last Summer, I converted from the D36 to the Dana 44 rear end. As a result, my speedometer needs recalibration. I haven't gotten around to this just yet, but was wondering if this problem was related.
If I cruise at say 35-50 and take the car out of gear and place it into Neutral, the motor runs at a constant 1700 RPMs and does not go down from there until the car reaches 0 MPH. As a result, the car has "poor man's cruise control" and sort of keeps itself moving at speed without much in the way of help from my right foot.
Once I get the car to the trans shop to install the Vigilante TC and new VSS + gears, will this problem go away or is there something else that needs to be looked at?
Thanks all,
Ron
