Procharger pre-install pointers?
Hi everybody I have a friend who has a 96 LT4 collectors edition. He is putting on the ATI procharger. He's fairly mechanically inclined and I'm sure he'll do a fine job, however before he goes into tearin into his car, has anybody here done the install? And if so, what are some pointers that the installation manual is unclear/short cuts, not explained well etc...

well first things first...
1. grab your friends and a BBQ'r
2. Need Coolant (beer)
3. After Coolant is in system start getting tools ready
4. Look at KIT and Motor with friends for about 2 hrs.
5. more Coolant (must be filled at all times)
6. Send friend for more Coolant
7. Read instructions on install
8. Drink Coolant and Eat Food
9. Relax (Let food digest)and talk about how fast car is going to be
10. Take Nap with Coolant in hand
11. wake up after nap finish warm coolant
12. get friend up off the floor and give him coolant
13. Read instructions again
14. Coolant
15. and then start on install
ok no really i would take your time read instrctions from front to back and get a friend that is willing to read it aswell and if your motor is a little oily i would go to a car wash and wash motor down get it as clean as possible for a clean and easy install and just take your time remember that is the key and the instructions are not the best so make sure you read threw the lines on the kit!

Also, you probably want to stay away from smoking "Timing Retardant" until after the install :jester :crazy:
