Sylvania Silver Star
Just put in two brand new bulbs into my 85 like two or three months ago. One is alreadyt dead. I only drive during the day mostly and had the lights on only a few times. Is the bulb defective or is there another problem? :confused:

Sylvania Silver Star- this works for me
I've been running "hot" H4, and now Silver Star bulbs in 7 vehicles since 1990. When you remove them from the box/packing, wipe them down w/alcohol and insert them while still holding with the alcohol soaked towel. I have never had a problem. Concerning Silver Stars, the '81 C3 has had them since December, the '92 LT1 since January, and my wife's Odyssey since December- all without problems.

check for a bad ground, the bulb may have 12 volts but if it does not have a good ground it wont burn, it can be as simple as a bad connection in the bulb connector,
