Come on Guys , Possessed Oil Pressure Gauge ?? Help
1992 LT1 Auto , the oil pressure guage keeps flying off the high end of the scale particularly when cold , it does it just for a second or two perhaps two or three times over the first ten minutes or so of running . Pressures generally seem OK with around 25 at tick over and 55 when running .
My 1990 had the same quirk , is it anything to be concerned about or just a peculiarity of these gauges and senders ???

How cold is the ambient air temp when this happens and what weight oil are you running? If it's rather cold out and your running 10w or 15w oil than you just have to wait for the oil to warm up...it's thicker when it's cold which gives the reading of a higher pressure
