I have an AFPR (don't remember brand) and did a little test to see how the pressure holds up. My injectors are Ford Motorsports 30 # injectors.
IDLE -- 40 psi
0 min. -- 46 psi
1 min. -- 46 psi
2 min. -- 46 psi
3 min. -- 46 psi
4 min. -- 46 psi
5 min. -- 46 psi
6 min. -- 45.5 psi ( guessing by looking at guage)
7 min. -- 44.25 psi
8 min. -- 43.75 psi
9 min. -- 42.25 psi
10 min. -- 42 psi
15 min. -- 34 psi
20 min. -- 23 psi
25 min. -- 13 psi
30 min. -- 5 psi
Does this seem normal to you? First of all, I thought my psi was around 50 ish, oh well. But, at idle it was 40, with a rev or two, it moved between 38 and 42. Once I turned ignition off, right up to 46.
They are 'ok'.. Not perfect though..
My 'ok' multec injectors I put in my vette few months ago hold pressure at 26psi after 2.5 hours.. Doesn't drop below 44psi until over an hour..
Heh my 104K mile old ones dropped to 5 within a minute though..
am i to assume these are all listed pressures for after you shut the car off. If so you should only lose a few psi overnite. Go to the tech tip on Hard starting fuel pressure diagnose to be sure.. simple test for you to do..
Yes, the values I put in with the time intervals are after I shut off the car. I do notice I have to crank it over for about 2 seconds too, somewhat of a hard start.
