Re: parking brake ? (neverendingproject)
what year did they stop using the seperate parking brake? also , are the early rear rotors the same size as any of the other years front rotors?
I think they made the switch in 88
I cannot speak to pree 88 set ups, but, while the roters and therefore the caliper set ups are 12" front and back, it is curious to note that due to the "hat in the middle of the roter and the height of the caliper, the 88 front brakes have more swept area than the rear
Again, can't speak to other years. I put C5's on the front of my 88 and this winter, I will probably replace my 88 rears with my 88 fronts...then when I step on the brakes I will hit my nose on the windshield :D :D :D

thats why i was asking. i want to put c5's on the front and put the fronts off another year on the rear. since the parking brake is seperate from the caliper, i thought , if i find a good caliper that will work with the rear rotors , should be cake. any other resonable options are also appreciated , of course.

You will probably have to "loose" emergency brake, I plan to, since I can't even remember where the handle is :D
