...now that mine is installed :D As has been reiterated over and over, it does give the front end a tighter feel.
To be perfectly honest it's rather shocking the difference it made in my car. No doubt model year car, anti-roll bar size, shocks, and spring rate will play a part in how accurate this statement is between cars.
I have an electric water pump so the C/B I got was a three piece affair. It made the install very straight forward. If I were to do an LT1/4 without an electric water pump, I think I'd still buy the C/B designed for cars *with* the electric water pump. No doubt with enough practice one can get the hang of installing the one piece affair, but how often will that happen? Another benefit of the 3 piece unit...it'll be much easier to R&R for the occasional serpentine belt changes
Hopefully the pic comes across. I bought mine in red for a little flash
Sorry, I don't know the p/n. When I ordered mine, I called Dave (the owner) direct at 573-756-6954 and told him what I wanted. Be sure to mention the Corvette Forum so you get it for the discounted price of $180 (I think it's listed for something like $250 in the MAD catalog).
When you order one through the Mall, just add a comment that you want the electric pump version. It will come in a satin black color, unless you special order it. There is a $50 charge for custom colors. Sorry, but the powder gun can be a pain to change colors and be sure all of the other color is out of the gun.
Any idea if it will work with blowers? I think it is a great piece of work. Yours looks great in red!!
Thanks for compliment :)
Regarding fit with a blower...Most likely it will not, but that's just a guess on my part. The reason I'm leaning that way is because I'm assuming your intake plumbing "detours" to the blower vs following the stock routing path.
I'd call Dave direct and describe your setup to him and/or send a couple detailed pics for him to take a look at. He's definitely a great guy to talk to.
