First check the theft fuse with an ohmeter. If ok, then check for 12v on the fuse with a voltmeter which will prove the fusible link is ok. Ground the black wire on the horn relay to activate the horn relay which should make the horns blow. The horn relay is behind the instrument panel center in the multi-use center (square plastic box with several relays, connectors, etc in it). You should hear the relay click when grounding the black wire. Jump 12v to the horns to see if they work. use an ohmeter to prove the grounds on the horns are low resistance to ground (use the battery negative terminal as true ground). Hope this helps.

I just had this problem on my 86. All fuses and relays were good. Ended up replacing both horns and now everything is good. Weird for both horns to go out at same time. i got replacemen horns at carparts .com for 11.00 ea.

i'm almost there! i grounded the yellow wire to the bolt and horn sounded! what actually makes this gound with the cap on? where do i go next?? thanks :cheers:
