crossfire engine
i was woundering what kind of paint should i use to paint the engine cover, if i can.

Engine paint.
Up there, though, just about any paint will hold up...
Go to your local autoparts shop and see what colours they have for engine paint. there are literally dozens available now.
before you paint, tho, clean the parts with simple green... this will let the paint stick better!!!!!

If your really worried about it, you can use high-temp paint also. They are making plenty of colors of that nowadays too. But it isn;t necessary. Regular engine paint would be just fine for that.
Definately clean the surface first if you want it to last.

back to what I said - simple green. It will cut the grease, but won't leave a residue behind.
you may want to lightly sand it, if there is flaking paint.

alright, so i pretty much just clean it then go right over the old paint.

If you want the original color, it is avalable from ecklers in a spray can. This is the same color for the rocker covers also.
