The Block (assuming direct bolt up)
ECM and engine harnesses
CCM (ECM communicates with it)
VATS bypass
Those the the four big things that come to mind
Kitt
I just finished the TPI conversion (from a crossfire), and although the parts are easy enough to swap (LT1swap.com?), the real issue is your chip, harness, and getting all the incidentals to fit (fuel, coolant, throttle linkages).
Although the intake is nicer, more powerful and easier to install than the TPI (in retrospect I should have more seriously considered the LT1 swap); you're still going to have those same issues. Just do a LOT of reading and piece everything together before you actually start turning wrenches.... I swear, I wound up going to the parts store literally every day for two weeks.

]$1200 for the LT1 $1000 TO REBUILD the LT1 =$2200 and belive me I am beeing conservative. ( this is you doing the rebuild with parts and machine work)
$100 for the ECM another $100-300 for programing emisions delete vats bypass ect... lets call it $200 total
next you need a 4 wire harness another words a harness ready for use in your car Cheapest one I found $400
so the total so far is $2800
Now you need a LT1 assy bracket and all assys unless the LT1 comes with it.
there is a complete set up on e-bay for less than $300 and that is a great deal if you are serious about theis swap you need to buy this set up today at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2419945717
You can use none of your stock assy's.
If you do not buy the set up off e-bay or find one for the same deal then you spend what I did
assy bracket $50
A/C compressor used $100 Rebuilt $500 New $700 I got a good used one
LT1 altenator remaned $170 new ???
LT1 PS pump I think its $200 cant remember
LT1 tensioner and idler pulley ( Im looking for them now ) $80
lets just call it $800
Add the $2800 + 800 = $3600
Now what else.
The sensors you will need all the sensors MAF, IAT, TPS, Knock, Water Temp, Oil Pres, Oil Temp, and a few Im missing.
These plus an air box and boots over $400
Good luck. been there done that. great swap not cheap almost forgot new fuel lines and fuel pump. If you do this swap plan it out verry well. The list I gave you is a hell of a lot more than I started with.

Now I don't feel so bad for sticking with the TPI. :D Parts are a hell of a lot less expensive (well... depending on where you get them).
:jester
There are some VERY kool things going on with CFI right now that doesnt even exist with TPI. If you like working on your car, you will like the CFI. Dont get swayed by rumors and other BS.
