Brake rebuild or not?
About six months ago I found major uneven wear on the rear brakes. I'm thinking time for a caliper rebuild because that's what the dealership said when this happened years ago on the fronts. For the time being I slapped new pads and ordered the kit. Six months later I'm up to the challenge of rebuilding calipers for the first time and to my surprise the pads have worn evenly for the past six months. My car is a daily driver. Put at least 8000 miles in those six months with plenty of CA freeway braking. Since I've never done a rebuild before and everything appears to be normal, should I just leave well enough alone? I am definitely going to put fresh brake fluid right now. BTW, i'm well over 250K on my 90 coupe with the rear calipers never being service.

I would go with rebuilt calipers.It would be alot easier and they don't cost that much.I put a rebuilt on the front of my 92 for about $50 (autozone )but the core charge was $150.Good luck! :chevy

I agree with the above posts for ur rears. Unless you just wanna tackle a rebuild for the knowledge/entertainment of it, which I can certainly relate too....
