Will one of these type units suffice for the scan programs that are available, or do you have to have a laptop? If one of these small units will work, which do and which don't?
Thanks
I don't think anybody's developed software/interface to accomplish this with a Palm Pilot, but that is an OUTSTANDING idea!!! These things are ALOT more portable than a laptop, have their own built in powersources, and are more than powerful enough to do the job!
I'm surpised someone else hasn't thought about this already.
Here you go fellas, But its for my WB02 that I have. I have seriously been thinking about one of these for my WB. Just have to get enough ambition up to fiddle with another computer. I already have two hooked up in the car.
I datalog my LambdaBoy wide-band O2 meter to my Palm...But I don't know of anyone that has software that would be a scan type for the Palm...That is an outstanding idea though; kinda like a ScanMaster but better.

Re: Palm Pilot (cshuman)
Ease makes a generic OBD2 version for Palm Pilots and Pocket PCs. http://www.obd2.com Since the market for OBD1 shrinks every day I doubt that they will make an OBD1 version, but anyone who is interested can always send an email to sales@obd2.com ATTN: Personal and ask for them to consider it. If enough people ask, maybe they will consider doing it.
