Resonators?

Resonators?
Quick question (hopefully)....Where are the resonators located in my GS (behind the cats?) and are they easy to get off/out? Also, is it a big deal to not have them?

The resonator is that muffler looking thing that both pipes run into, it's betwwen the cat's and mufflers. You would have to cut it off to remove, it is welded on. Removing the resonator will increase resonance or noise inside the car.
