Coolant Temp Sensor
'89 auto coupe. My coolant temp reading was locked on "lo" for the past few days. Initially I thought the sensor under the intake was bad so I bought a new one. Only to find out it was the wrong one. Anyway I found a posting on the forum that suggested checking the sensor behind the engine oil stick...and guess what? The electrical fitting had slipped off so I wasn't getting any temp reading. I guess it's always wise to explore a problem before trying to fix it. Thankx to the originator of that post.
