I bought a crossfire distributor cap from Jeg's.....
Clean up your engine compartment and your sparks..clean wire routing...plug for the right side..and wires for the left side..no more criss crossed wires....
Have any of you guys heard of this....
The part was ordered 2 years ago from Jegs catalog...page 116-0..
I'm looking for this distributor cap.....guess I need to call Jegs....
Made all the ignition wires line up with no crossfiring...
Its on my vette now.....

Them have been around for several years but I have never bought one couldn't see spending more for that cap over the normal cap with the brass terminal when it don't increase performance. Looks different though.

I know a guy with a C3 that broke two fluidampers, three crankshafts and about 7 intake gaskets from running one of those.
Basically...he built a serious 355, steel crank...yada yada yada...B&M blower, B&M superjection...well, it would run good a few runs...then BOOM, backfire, blown intake gasket and ripped the damper key out of the crank.
The whole problem was the correct-a-cap arcing internally igniting plugs in cylinders with their intake valve still open.
After the third build...he put a regular distributor cap on and ran 10 second passes every weekend.
