Help, car won't start
I just got done putting the distribitor back in and hooking the spark plug wires, and distribitor wires.
The engine cranks but won't catch.
I rechecked the spark plug wires, so I'm resonalbly sure that those are right.
Any ideas? Thoughts? Experiences?

i would start from scratch and set the engine back on firing order #1 and drop in the distibitor again but check the coil see if you are getting any spark might wnat to check that?

Dude I feel your pain, makes you wish it had a factory warranty!!!! I had the same thing happen it turned out to be a loose connection on the distribuitor cap, drivers side??????? Good luck :thumbs:

ckgunn, are you talking about the battery(red) wire?
Do you know if it's possible to reconnect the wire modual that's behind the tach/battery wire on the driver's side?
If I didn't drop the distribitor back in exactly, would this keep it from starting?
I can't tell about the timing...I don't have a timing light. Can you check for time without it running?

I keep on checking the wires. Since I just diconnected them from the cap that's all I checked.
I guess you are telling me to get myself a timing light!
Do I need to buy one thats special?
