I was checking out the new G-Tech Pro and it looks pretty sweet. I have one of the first ones and wasn't too impressed with it, mainly because of the mounting and its error induced by not properly having it alined.
Anyone mess with new one? it looks like it would be a cool little toy, even it its not accurate in the sense of giving correct hp/tq numbers, but was accurate in showing changes, it would be AWESOME. It looks like it breaks down the incriments like at a strip. I need something very accurate to tune to, and dynos are expensive and far away.
The new GTech looks really cool, and is loaded with features. It has full Dragstrip functionality. It will stage you, and give you a tree. It will give you RT, 60 ft, 1/8, 1000, and 1/4 Time and speed. It also stores all the data for downloading into your PC. It has a built in RPM display with a programmable shift light. All the other functions are still there, and improved. The display and mounting hardware are better, and the technology has produced more accurate results. I think its great. As long as you dont compare it to the dyno and the track, it will serve your purpose, and **** off the neighbors!
I say go for it! I might get one for X-Mas, since the old one is still working fine, and less than 2 years old, I have to wait for a good excuse to buy it. But it makes a great gift from my wife on X-Mas!!!!!!
