Has anyone run or heard both of these? I am curious how significant the difference is. The Delta-Flow is touted as being loud on the outside, but more mellow with less resonance on the inside compaired to the "original" 40 series.
I am more intested in hearing about differences and preferences than warnings about resonance.
Re: Flowmaster 40 series: Original vs Delta Flow (ninetyfivevette)
I had the replacement Flowmasters before, Didnt like it after a while because it would send too much resonance inside the car and not outside. Anyway what I did was just take off the muffler and replaced it with a straight pipe, both sides that is. :D LOve the sound, not too loud, but you can still hear it and its a really good exhaust note to. :yesnod:
Besides your going to change your mufflers anyway, might as well just cut it off where the mufflers are attached to the rear y pipe. See how it sounds, if you dont like it, get the Flowmasters and weld them on. If you do like it, then just weld up a new straight pipe in place of the muffler. Hope that helps some. Good luck
