Throttle body bypass
I live in Canada - Quebec, the winters are really cold up here... holy FRIG!!
thanks god its summer! :)
I'm just wondering if I should do the trotle body bypass?
Most of you already know, we dont' drive our vettes during winter up here, it really makes me feel like I should live in Florida :)
Anyway's, I don't even turn on the engine during winter, I store it for winter in a cold garage or in a car tempo outisde.
I normaly start driving my vette in May up to October/beginning of november
I don't drive it when its at a freezing point outside.
Should I still do the trotle body by pass? or is it to risky?
Thanks!
Steph

This is on of those "free mods" that proves the point of "you get what you pay for" IMHO
The amount and surface are of coolant contact in the base of the Throttle body is quite small. At initial start and run the colant is cool, but so are the other temps around the throttle body.
Once you are warmed up, so is the coolant and so are all the other engine parts, particularly the plenum and the intake.
It is there to prevent icing, so if you only drive in the summer it won't hurt anything to go a head and try it. But if you have somethingelsed to do, ignore it IMHO

Nice kits and saves money on install.. HP wont increase. but looks good and you wont have to worry about the coolant gasket in the TB..
