Question, Engine misses at 1800 to 2000 RPM intermittently, under acceleration
( normal ), not at WOT or Heavy acceleraton. Closed loop, no codes, no SES.
Engine temp 198 to 215, air temp 85, oil temp 230. Doesn't seem to miss at steady speed, cruies control set on 70, 75, or 80. No apparent vaccum leaks.
Engine stalled once, during acceleraton from a stop.
93 coupe, 90K miles Auto
Cleaned TB with spray cleaner, seems to be a bit better. This can't be the solution however. New fuel filter, two months ago, new plugs at the same time. No leak at water pump.
Any chance it could be the O2 Sensor, and not throwing a code? Any other suggestions??
Mine does the same thing but it wasnt there until I removed all of the emissions stuff and installed my headers. I will get it to miss once and then the check engine light comes on for the emissions and it never misses again. I was retorqing all of my header bolts last night and found 3 loose spark plugs I know that wouldnt cause it but hell you never know.
Checked the plugs, nope not loose.. No mods on this engine really... K&N air filter, and Flowmasters, thats it. Any other guesses??? I was going to arbitraily change the O2 sensor.. I already have one anyway..
That kinna sounds like mine did when the opti was in the first stages of croakin'. If it was the O2 sensor, i'd expect it to throw a Code 13, 63. 64, or 65.
Might also be a fried plug wire (ir they weren't changed with the plugs).
There are other possibilities that come to mind too...but i'd check these first. ;)
