TRANSMISSION UPDATE

I will make this as brief as possible...
A "little" under a year ago my tranny, flywheel and clutch were replaced. I purchased a 1 yr warranty.
When I got the car back, in between gears it would make this shhzzzt sound.
The transmission place called Rockland transmission (the only dealer in North America supposedly) and they said that this noise was NORMAL. So... I drove the car for almost a year thinking that was normal.
I brought my car in to have my intake leak fixed (about 11 months later) and my mechanic noticed the noise and said it sound like a bearing in my tranny was bad... I immediately brought my car (and the mechanic) to the tranny place because I had only 1 month left to my warranty and my tranny, clutch, flywheel cost me $7k total last year, so I was going to take any chances.
The tranny place was very good (AAMCO) and took my transmission out of my car that day. The found the clutch was blown apart. After them sending the clutch out for warranty claim to Luke Clutch (this took 4 weeks)... Luke Clutch found the clutch defective and sent a new clutch and dual mass flywheel to AAMCO to reinstall. They put the clutch and flywheel in my car and the ZZZZZt noise was gone when shifting from 1-2, 2-3... but was still making a noise in neutral with the clutch out I believe. They then took my tranny back out and drove to Rockland Transmission and dropped it off there for dyno testing. Rockland told AAMCO that it made a sound but that it was supposed to do that. Dan from AAMCO gave them a hard time because he knew a bearing was bad. He said... "Is it making a noise or is it NOT making a noise"?? He then proceeded to tell them to send the transmission back and he would pay for the $10 bearing that the transmission needed. Rockland got off the phone, and then got back to AAMCO telling them they replaced 3 bearings, just to be safe. They made it sound like they were doing them a favor (by doing their job).
I just wanted to say that I am sooooooooo fuming mad :mad :mad that my car has been like this for a year because they did not want to own up to having to replace a bad bearing and doing any work since they already got their money... and then trying to pass it off again a year later, after everyone I know is telling them its a bad input bearing. This pisses me off. I almost missed the Cruise In IV because of this and my car is still in the shop (about 5-6wks now). I should have my car back monday with new clutch, flywheel, and fixed tranny. I WILL PUT A HYUNDAI TRANNY IN MY CAR BEFORE I DEAL WITH THESE JERKS AGAIN!!! If they are the only dealer in North America and insist on screwing people over that is so very sad. I wanted EVERYONE on the forum to know about this crap and their horrible customer service. :mad
btw.. believe it or not AAMCO was very nice the whole time and did a great job in trying to get my car back in order.
