What a cool weekend! I wish we had that here, too many lawyers and politicians for that to happen. We need to drive 2 hours. Then they get pissed at the street racing, wonder why???? I wish they would get there heads on straight and open a place to race, and then they could severly punish anyone caught on the street.

I made a bracket for my alternator (the Stock one and also the CS144 I run now) got an aluminum tube, measured and cut the distance, flattened the ends, drilled a hole, twisted it a bit, and wala! Works like a charm. Goes from back of alternator to #3 header bolt.

You are a lucky man Jesse, enjoy those times!!! The whole family out for a night at the drags!!! The town cheering you on, doesnt get any better than that. Its definitley a Michelob Moment!

Jesse, I'll make you a bracket, if mine works out, but i'm starting to have my doubts. Still working with Meziere trying to figure out if their pump will fit. The retiurn line that they wanted to weld on wont work. It'll hit the A/C bracket for sure. Now, i'm working out an idea to move the return lines to the top of the pump at about 10 oclock. I'll have to reroute the hoses, but i think it could be done. I can't believe how difficult this turned out to be.

I ran mine without the belt once. It was the fastest the car had run at the time, but not by much. It's definitely worth some HP, but i dont think it's much (maybe 10). Plus if you run your alternator, it will put more load on it which will consume some HP. Nothing is free ya know. btw, one of the guys i race with has a dupe of my car. We always ran within a couple of hundredths of each other. This winter he went to a 3.73 gear from a 3.07, and he's running over a tenth quiclker than me. I think he's got a shot at 50s in good weather......Check you email for details.

Ralph.

Yeah I have been reading those, but staying quite, as I don't have a whole lot to add to the conversations.

My opinion is with my setup, and more gears and I would never hook up. I would actually entertain higher ones first. Take a look at those videos of my car at Numidia. The one from the side is against a 10.46 car and mine eats it up for for first portion of the track, then just falls off at the top end. Even though the top ends seems decent.

I really am convinced that if I got my car tuned at the higher pressure there would be significant gain.

This next week I have to finalize the higher pressure tuning and then get it back down to state college for some dyno pulls. I would like to have that all done before NJ.

Just so much to do and by the time I get out of work, eat dinner, and now my brother is opening up a chiropractic office in town, so we are building him an office building at night. There is just no time for the fun stuff.

What do you think 3.73s gears would do for me?

Do you think it weakens the rear?

Did you see my post over in the nitrous section? Am I nuts? :D :skep:
