Coolant Temp readout shows " Lo"
I noticed as of yesterday that my coolant temp shows " Lo " and it hasnt changed at all since. Would I have to replace the thermostat ? or is there a coolant sensor somewhere that needs changing ? :confused:

its supposed to switch to numbers at 100 degrees. As I understand it you have two sensors, one for the fans and one for the display. I think its the one on the PS of the engine block between the two last spark plugs. Not sure. Consult a component location guide or your shop man. Good Luck

I agree with the last post. I had the same problem with my 89 coupe a week ago and it turns out that the electrical connection on the sensor behind the oil check stick had slipped off. After I connected it my temp reading returned.

Both are right on. On your '87 you have a spade lug single connector at the back of the passenger side head, between 6 & 8. You probably just did a tune-up and knocked it off while replacing those plugs.
