Wheel surface on 95 cracking
My right rear wheel surface looks all cracked up - I assume this is the clear coat letting loose. I'm in west central Florida - any recommendations of someone who can refinish it? Also, are the 94 and 95 wheels identical? I have a company willing to sell me 4 refinished 94's in exchange for my 95's (all for about $450 plus shipping). Good deal?? The other 3 wheels still look good - no scratches, etc. How long until they start going bad? Is it inevitable? Thanks - Later, JPC

From my experience with the clear coat on my recently sold 85 clear coat can last and look new for 18 years, The worst thing you can do to clear coat is wash it with cold water when the wheels are hot from driving ( especially driving in hot weather). Also , use very mild soap not dish soap on the clear coat.
My 88 and 95 also have perfect clear coat - so what are you doing? I don't understand why you are having problems with just 1 wheel.
