who make good brand new ac compressors for C-4 vettes other than GM?

You can get a new or rebuilt at http://www.ackits.com for a competitve price - I believe for a few dollars less that the Last Detail http://www.tld-corvette.com which usually has the lowest price. I think they will want proof that you flushed the system and replaced the Accumulator though to honor any warranty.

It is not too uncommon to go thru 2-3 rebuilt units, until you find one that works. i.e. Doesn't leak.

I would stick with the GM compressor,its a very good unit. :steering:
