Accel fuel pump rating?
Does anyone know what the GPH rating is for the bosch/accel pump is? How much power can It handle? Can it be mounted in the tank? I'm not sure wha t the part number is but it's got one hose end on it and a 3/8 NPT end (outlet) and the body is defitnitely larger than a OEM pump. It looks like something that would come in a VW or BMW? :confused:

Accel makes several pumps would need a part number to know what one you are talking about.
How much power do you plan on making then buy a pump to match

Accel fuel pump rating?
My friend has a Lingenfelter IROC making well over 600 hp. He's using a custom fuel system in the front(braided line etc) but the accel pump is in the tank and it does fine with it.
They don't last too long though, I went through one,and He's on His third pump.

I have 2 of these pumps, part# 74702, they are for my 383 about 500hp give or take 25hp. They where originally on my friends GN making about 550hp and another friend of mine had them on his Porsche making about 700hp both of them had two of these pumps and were externally mounted . I 'm thinking of mounting one inside the tank and use the other one for alt race gas for when I use the nitrous. Anyone , who's had experience with this pump I'd like to know if they can be mounted in-tank and how much power one can support? :confused:

Thanks for the info. Sounds a little high on the hp rating, but they always do that, besides it should be more than enough for my 500hp set-up.

Excellent footage! thanks! That set-up is exactly the way mine is and it gave me an idea on how to hold the strainer in. Thanks again! :thumbs:
