Yes, it'll work. The difference is in the amount of timing advance between the two engine temps. Cooler engine allows more advance, hence needing 160. Else the ECM will remove the timing when it hears the pinging.

Jet chip waste of money unless it's free.

Contact Ed Wright or PCMforless or something like that.

hi, thanks for the response, i forgot to mention the chip is for a 1991 corvette i was told any chip that i get burned will be a waste unless i go with heads, cam and so on i wanted something to advance my timing alittle and make it run a little cooler i also added tpis headers but i was told that you don't need a chip with headers. i did have a problem when i installed the headers maybe you can answer this since no else can. i get no codes and no check engine light i had it put on a scannerevery sensor is working i even have a heated oxygen sensor hear we go , when the car is in open loop it idles mint as soon as it hits closed loop and the temp gets to around 200 the idle surges i changed the iac, had it set ,had the timing, tps set can,t find a cure the car does not stall and it runs mint any thoughts thanks

Is everything else stock? Are you running an aftermarket throttlebody by chance? Are you certain that the O2 sensors are good?
Any chance you have an exhaust leak or vacuum leak? Hate to ask so many questions.

hi, the mods are 52mm throttle body, plenum is ported i have ported edlerbrock runners tpis headers. the 02 senor is brand new msd coil it don't make sense because with a vacuum leak it would do it all the time the car acts up as soon as it goes into closed loop and the temp gets up to 200
