At the time that it won't start is the time to get busy troubleshooting. You must catch the problem when it fresh. Remember the basics. There are three major areas for an engine to run: spark, fuel and compression. Find the area that is the issue. Once you have nailed the area down you can start looking at specifics within that area. A no start can be a needle in the haystack. Troubleshoot methodically and you will find your cause.
Some questions you might ask yourself and write down the answer to are: when does the problem seem to occur? How long? What are some of the symptoms associated with it? Did I do some work on the engine that may have caused the issue? Remember the cause and effect rule. These are just some examples. Most of all, the success of finding the cause of a problem is perserverance and perspiration.
Dig hard and you will make it happen.
